  • What is Equine Massage?

    Equine Massage Therapy uses a variety of massage techniques and strokes to stimulate blood flow to different areas of the body.

    By encouraging blood flow, oxygen and other essential nutrients are distributed throughout the body, while lactic acid and other metabolic waste are simultaneously expelled from the body.

  • How Long Will It Take Before I See Improvement?

    Many horses show improvement with just one massage session. However, each horse is unique and depending on the individual circumstance, your horse may need several treatments before significant changes are observed.

    On average, a minimum of two massages per month are recommended to maintain your horse at peak performance.

  • How Do You Know If Your Horse Will Benefit From Equine Massage?

    Massage can be used to help facilitate relief of multiple ailments. For instance, If your horse is having difficulty with a lead or shaking their head, massage can be used to help release restriction at the poll.

    In conjunction with endorphin relief, massage uses the autonomic nervous system and transitions the horse from a stressed state, which utilizes the sympathetic nervous system as opposed to the parasympathetic nervous system. This action allows the horse to move to a more relaxed state.
